Latinx Youth Ambassadors
To help inform and educate our local community, we’ve partnered with ISLA, a Spanish language and culture immersion program in the Research Triangle area to create the Latinx Youth Ambassador Program.
Our program includes 12 weeks of training during which our Latinx Youth Ambassadors will communicate directly with families in their communities through social media and other events, sharing information about the vaccine, how it works, and why it is so important to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Este programa significa mucho por mi porque quiero dar conciencia a las personas de los problemas que tenemos hoy en día, como el COVID 19 que ha afectado nuestras vidas, también cómo podemos ayudarlos a estar protegido del COVID 19.
Helping my community and others is very important to me. I want to help and inform people with helpful information about the situation in world. I believe this opportunity would greatly benefit my community and myself, now and in the future.
I come from a school with a very low hispanic population, and this doesn't give me much of a chance to be more active and involved in my community. [Through Youth Ambassadors] I can be more involved in my community.
I am very interested in being part of a program that gives back and cares for our community, especially the Latinx community (which I am proud to be part of).
